Beauty Taken for Granted

The Ralph is the best high school hockey arena in the world.  What other high schools have hockey arena's that cost almost $15 million?  This is gift to the Thief River Falls area, and one that is often taken for granted.

The Creation of Beauty

This is not as deep as it may sound!  It just something that we have created that is beautiful!

Artificial Beauty

Here are two great examples of artificial beauty in TRF, of contrasting styles.  The City Hall's classic architecture, versus the very modern look of the Methodist Church's "volcano style".

Manufactured Beauty

These are Beautiful machines.  They are perfect examples of how humans can manufacture beauty, even in little old TRF.  They are both sleek, powerful machine designed to impress, and it does for me.

Video: Definition of Beauty

The man who made this video and is narrating, makes the point that nature should be beautiful to everyone.    Some people seem to think that scientists don't see the beauty in nature since they view the world in a different lens (Literally and Figuratively) than most other people.  But this man thinks that even scientists should see beauty in nature, not subtract from it.  They can understand nature at a much deeper level, so they should be able to see that much more beauty in it.

Classical Art Piece of Beauty

Some may think that this simple picture of a heart is definitely not something of beauty.  But what most of them don't know is that this painting/drawing was made by Leonardo Da Vinci in the late 1400's.  He drew this anatomically correct heart before the average person even knew what the heart looked like.  The precise details and perfect proportions of the drawing given the time the drawing was created, make this beautiful.

Beautiful Music

This is a great song, and I think it is beautiful.  It may not be classical music, but I believe beauty is more in the eye (or ear) of the beholder and it is beautiful to me.
